Keeping your hearing aids working the way they should.

Hearing aids work best with regular care. Over time, moisture, wax, and everyday wear can affect performance. Your hearing can change, too. A service visit gives your provider a chance to check both your devices and your hearing needs and make any adjustments that may help.

WHAT A SERVICE VISIT INCLUDES

Your provider will check that your hearing aids are performing as they should, look for wear, moisture, or debris affecting performance, replace filters, domes, and wax guards as needed, and verify comfort and fit.

When appropriate, your provider can also make sure your programming reflects your current hearing. If your hearing has changed, they’ll talk through what that means and what to do next.

ABOUT YOUR SERVICE PLAN

Service plans run for a set period from the date you purchased your hearing aids. When your included service period ends, you can renew your plan and continue receiving visits, adjustments, and supplies.

Our team can tell you what your current plan includes, when it ends, and what renewal options are available for your devices.

YOUR ANNUAL HEARING BENEFIT

Separately from your service plan, many insurance and managed care plans include hearing benefits that renew or reset each year. Depending on your plan, those benefits may include hearing tests, provider visits, or hearing aid benefits.

Our team can check what your plan includes for the current year before you schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions

My service plan ended. Can I still come in for service?

Yes. You can always schedule a visit. Once your included service period has ended, visits, repairs, or supplies may be billed separately unless you renew your service plan.

How often should I have my hearing aids checked?

Most patients benefit from a hearing aid check and cleaning once or twice a year, along with an annual hearing test. Your provider may recommend a different schedule based on your hearing and your devices.

Do I need a new hearing test?

Not always, but an annual hearing test is recommended. Hearing can change gradually, and your provider can use updated results to make sure your hearing aids are programmed appropriately.

Can my insurance help cover hearing care or new hearing aids?

Some insurance and managed care plans include hearing tests, provider visits, or hearing aid benefits. Our team can check your current eligibility and explain what your plan includes before your appointment.

My hearing aids are several years old. Should I service them or replace them?

Our team can look at the age, condition, and performance of your hearing aids and help you understand whether continued service or replacement makes more sense.
